বেপরোয়া গতির তিন ট্রাকের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে নিহত ১
ঢাকা-টাঙ্গাইল-বঙ্গবন্ধু সেতু মহাসড়কের টাঙ্গাইলের কালিহাতীতে বেপরোয়া গতির তিন ট্রাকের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে এক ট্রাকচালকের মৃত্যু হয়েছে।
আজ রোববার (১৩ মার্চ) সকাল ৭টার দিকে উপজেলার জোকারচর এলাকায় এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।
তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে নিহত ট্রাক চালকের পরিচয় জানা যায়নি। আহত ট্রাক চালক রফিকুল ইসলামকে উদ্ধার করে টাঙ্গাইল শেখ হাসিনা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়ছে।
এদিকে দুর্ঘটনার কারণে উত্তরবঙ্গগামী লেনে এলেঙ্গা থেকে জোকারচর পর্যন্ত ১০ কিলোমিটার এলাকাজুড়ে যানজটের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।
বঙ্গবন্ধু সেতু পূর্ব থানার ওসি সফিকুল ইসলাম জানান, ট্রাকটি সিমেন্ট নিয়ে বগুড়ার শেরপুরের দিকে যাচ্ছিল। পথিমধ্যে ট্রাকটি জোকারচর পৌঁছালে টাঙ্গাইলগামী বালুবাহী ট্রাকের সাথে সংঘর্ষে হয়। এ সময় গাজীপুরগামী আরেকটি ট্রাক পেছন থেকে ধাক্কা দেয়। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই সিমেন্টবাহী ট্রাক চলকের মৃত্যু হয় এবং আহত হয় বালুবাহী অপর ট্রাক চালক রফিকুল। আহত ট্রাক চালকে উদ্ধার করে হাসপাতালে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
তিনি আরো জানান, নিহতের মরদেহ থানায় রাখা হয়েছে। পরিচয় শনাক্তের পর আইনিপ্রক্রিয়া শেষে মরদেহটি স্বজনদের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হবে। আর যানজট নিরসনে পুলিশ কাজ করে যাচ্ছে।
